The way we listen to music has become ordinary. Like a toaster in the kitchen: switch it on, something happens, done. Streaming has made music available everywhere — and at the same time often stripped it of meaning. These components are made for the moment when you realize: music is not a function — it is an experience. They are built to give music weight again.
The Matrix Audio TT-1 is for the moment when you realize that a truly great DAC deserves a signal that does not get in its way. The TT-1 takes care of streaming and data management, delivering the result uncompromisingly digital to the DAC — clean, stable, and free from any “computer-like” feeling. You do not buy it because of a feature, but because it treats the digital chain as a serious source component: less distraction, more clarity, more natural musical flow. A transport for people who do not want to replace their DAC — but finally allow it to perform at its full potential.
The Matrix Audio TT-1 runs on MA Player and is controlled via the MA Remote app, including broad streaming support such as Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, AirPlay 2, and UPnP/DLNA.
Local music can be integrated directly: NAS drives can be connected, as well as USB storage, and thanks to the integrated NVMe SSD slot, the TT-1 can be expanded into a silent, high-speed music library. CDs can even be conveniently ripped using a USB drive — without the need for a computer.
From a sonic perspective, the TT-1 is uncompromisingly designed as a transport: dual femtosecond clocking for ultra-low jitter, an audio-specific USB DAC interface to reduce transmission interference, and multiple digital outputs (optical, coaxial, AES/EBU, and IIS-LVDS) to ensure clean integration with virtually any DAC.
And for those who want to take things even further, the TT-1 features a DC input for an external linear power supply. When connected, the unit automatically prioritizes the external power source.
