The Matrix Audio NT-1 is a high-performance digital audio transport that brings together network streaming, local music libraries, and advanced networking capabilities within a single, dedicated source component. Designed for reference-grade audio systems, it combines state-of-the-art streaming technology with exceptionally precise digital signal transmission to external DACs and digital audio systems.

At its core is Matrix Audio’s powerful MA Player Hi-Fi Streamer OS, offering intuitive control via the MA Remote app for smartphones and tablets. The NT-1 supports a wide range of streaming services, including Qobuz, TIDAL, and Apple Music, while also providing seamless access to local music libraries stored on NAS systems or directly connected storage devices. This allows effortless playback from virtually any digital music source.

For digital audio output, the NT-1 offers a comprehensive selection of interfaces, including USB DAC, AES/EBU, coaxial, optical, and IIS-LVDS, ensuring seamless compatibility with high-end DACs, active loudspeakers, and digital amplifiers. A specially engineered, electrically isolated USB interface minimizes noise and interference, providing exceptionally stable and accurate data transmission.

A precision femtosecond clock forms the foundation for outstanding timing accuracy. In addition, the NT-1 features a 10 MHz reference clock input, allowing synchronization with an external master clock such as the Matrix Audio SC-1. This hybrid clock architecture delivers ultra-low phase noise and exceptional signal stability, making it an ideal transport for demanding digital audio applications.

The NT-1 also incorporates an internal NVMe SSD slot, enabling users to build a dedicated music library directly within the unit. Through SMB network sharing, this storage can be made available across the local network, allowing the NT-1 to serve as a centralized music server for additional streaming devices.
